This setup takes advantage of the similarities in damage formula access among Rakks, nova shields, and grenades to provide a well rounded kit fully capable of blitzing all content in the game.
Playstyle: Each Rakk Attack activation will trigger a Frozen Heart nova that outright one shots most non-boss enemies, and the distance on this is utterly massive with investment into radius boosts (Splash Radius on class mod, AoE damage in slot 2 or 3 on artifact).
Grenades, whether thrown or delivered via Peregrine, are the main source of damage vs bosses.
Survivability will ultimately be a question of “Can I outrun or kill this enemy?” If the answer is yes, then continue gameplay as usual. If the answer is no, then prioritize increasing burst DPS by throwing more grenades, or avoid incoming damage by increasing movement (Snowdrift is your friend)
Augments: Flock N Load and Rakkcelerate provide maximum damage output. Rakk Open a Cold one can have uses against fire immune enemies.
100% bonus Radiation damage while below 50% health (URad) is especially desirable here because of it applying to and properly scaling with Nova shield effects and Rakks, as well as applying to grenades, radsplosions, and Hollow Points.
General stat boosts to look for on all class mods are:
Deathless is the clear choice here due to it enabling urad without requiring use of a Front Loader. Bonus points for having the ability to roll optimal passives. Prefix isn’t significant here, but Snowdrift is the most useful.
